Retaining Walls

Custom Retaining Wall Designs

Windsor Service Co builds top-quality retaining walls with custom looks. We offer a number of options such as natural stones, modular blocks and retaining wall systems. Gabion Gravity Retaining walls

A gabion wall is a gravity wall constructed using prefabricated steel wire cages filled with rock. The cages are often 3 ft on a side and are filled with stone as specified by the designer. In lieu of rock filled gabion cages, large precast concrete blocks may be used.

Riprap and Rock Armour

Rock armour is typically rock, but can be other material used to strengthen or armour stream beds, bridge abutments, pilings and other shoreline structures against scour or water erosion.

We use it to protect coastlines and structures from erosion by the sea, rivers, or streams. It can be used on any waterways or water containment where there is potential for water erosion.

Riprap is used to absorb and deflect the impact of waves before they reach the defended structure. The size of riprap is used to provide and protect against impact damage by debris.

Silt Removal / Desilting and Dredging

De-Siltation

We remove silt from ponds, lakes and rivers using a variety of techniques. Silt removal is necessary for healthy bodies of water. We remove the broken-down dead plant leaves and other organic material along with run off from surrounding fields. This material will cause a build up on the bed of a lake, pond or river. This can have serious consequences on the future of that water.

Dredging

Windsor Service Co can perform lake, river, canal, and boat slip dredging. This improves waterfront property. We can provide dredging services to commercial and residential docks, marinas, condos, commercial sites, and private canals. Our experienced crews have the knowledge, tools, and technology to improve your waterfront.
